In short
Demoliciones Málaga demolishes houses, villas and finca buildings throughout Cártama, including Estación de Cártama, Cártama Pueblo and the rural districts, and removes the rubble sorted by material. Being about 17 km from Málaga, the municipality mixes older town houses, newer homes and agricultural plots. Most non-protected demolitions go by declaración responsable, filed by you and your técnico.
One municipality, several very different settlements
Cártama belongs to the Valle del Guadalhorce and is part of the Málaga metropolitan area, about 17 km from the city. Its main settlements are Cártama Pueblo and Estación de Cártama, and the municipality also spreads over districts such as Aljaima, Doña Ana and Sierra Llana. Each area produces its own kind of demolition enquiry:
| Area | Typical enquiry |
|---|---|
| Cártama Pueblo | Old terraced house on a slope, rebuilt on the same plot |
| Estación de Cártama | Detached or semi-detached house replaced by a new home; extensions removed |
| Rural districts | Farmhouses, stores and casitas on agricultural plots |
The common thread for foreign buyers is the plot: they buy for the land and the location near Málaga, and the building is the part that needs dealing with.
Estación de Cártama: replacing a house on a flatter plot
Estación de Cártama sits lower and flatter than the old town, so machines can usually reach the house and there is room to sort materials on the plot. That makes house demolition here quicker to organise than in a hill village. The main constraints are the neighbours and the street: houses are close together, and skips or trucks on the public road need a municipal permit.
Where only part of the house goes, for example a garage conversion or an added floor, the job is a partial demolition carried out with the remaining structure protected. Pools and terraces on the same plot are covered by our sister site's page on pool demolition in Cártama.
Fincas and warehouses in the valley
On agricultural plots around Cártama, demolition requests usually concern buildings that have outlived their use: farmhouses beyond repair, irrigation huts, animal sheds and old stores. Our finca demolition service covers the whole job, from checking the access track to leaving the plot clear. Larger warehouses and concrete structures, which the valley's commercial and farming activity also produces, are the field of the sister site for industrial demolition in Cártama.
Older rural buildings may hide fibre-cement roofing or water tanks. These are removed by a RERA-registered company working as our subcontractor, and that waste is never mixed with the rest. Everything else is separated into the fractions required since 2022: concrete and masonry, wood, metals, glass, plastic and gypsum.
Heritage in Cártama Pueblo and planning from abroad
Cártama preserves remains of its castle and walls from the Moorish period. If your house in the old town is close to them, ask your técnico to check with the Ayuntamiento de Cártama whether it lies in a protected setting, because a demolition there needs a licence rather than a declaración responsable. Away from protected areas, the declaración responsable is the general route, with the documents set by the town's own ordinance.
For owners abroad we keep the process simple: photos and location from you, a site visit and written quote from us, dates agreed with your architect, and photo updates in English until the plot is clear. The demolition and debris removal page explains what is included. For a closer look at the paperwork, see selective demolition under Law 7/2022. Nearby areas: Alhaurín de la Torre and Álora.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work in Estación de Cártama as well as the old town?
Yes. We cover the whole municipality: Cártama Pueblo, Estación de Cártama and rural districts such as Aljaima, Doña Ana and Sierra Llana.
Can you demolish an old farmhouse on agricultural land?
Yes. That is finca demolition, including checking the track, sorting the materials and removing all rubble from the plot.
Is the plot left ready for my builder?
We hand over a cleared plot with basic levelling after the demolition, so your builder or architect can take over from there.
My house is in the old town near the castle remains. Does that matter?
It may. If the building lies in a protected setting, the demolition needs a licence, so your técnico should confirm it with the town hall.
Do I need to be in Spain to sign anything with you?
No. We agree the quote and scope in writing by email, and you can follow the work through photo updates.
What happens to metal and wood from the demolition?
They are separated on site from the masonry and concrete and delivered to an authorised waste manager, with receipts passed to you.
Can you demolish a house in the old town?
Yes, but in a protected historic centre the demolition needs a licence and, where applicable, heritage authorisation; confirm it with the ayuntamiento first. Narrow streets also mean more hand work.
Can old materials be kept for reuse?
Yes. Tiles, stone, beams or ironwork are set aside during the selective strip-out before the structure comes down.
Which language are the quote and updates in?
In English or Spanish, as you prefer. Technical terms such as declaración responsable or licencia are kept in Spanish with an explanation.
Is the rubble taken away?
Yes. Waste is sorted on site, taken to an authorised facility and documented with delivery receipts that you receive.
